stories

Early on in my career being a freelance reporter represented the freedom to engage with my community, and in turn, learn about my own culture, and the socio-political forces that upended the histories of generations of immigrant and migrant families. Migration - the act of departing and arriving - is a major strand in my family history, and it motivates my storytelling. The images featured here are a sample of my photography and the thematic stories I am in constant pursuit toward: migration, history, memory, urban cities, and engagement with nature.
